Documents and Information Needed to Incorporate a Singapore Company
Reviewed 11 October 2026 · 8 minute read
Short answer
Before registering a Singapore company, prepare the approved name, business activities, registered office, financial year end, company email and office hours, director and secretary particulars, shareholder and share-capital details, controller or nominee information where applicable, and the company constitution. Identity and ownership evidence is also needed for CSP due diligence.
Company information
- Approved company name and reservation reference
- Primary and secondary business activities or SSIC codes
- Singapore registered-office address and office hours
- Company email address
- Chosen financial year end
- Whether the model constitution is suitable or a customised constitution is required
Directors, secretary and shareholders
- At least one director meeting the local residency requirement
- Full particulars and consent for each proposed director
- Proposed company-secretary particulars, if appointed at incorporation
- Shareholder particulars and number/class of shares
- Paid-up share capital and currency
- Contact addresses and other particulars required by Bizfile
Controllers and nominees
The filing must address whether the company is exempt from the RORC, ROND and RONS requirements. Where it is not exempt, prepare the relevant controller, nominator and nominee information. ACRA states that companies registered from 16 June 2025 provide applicable central-register information during registration.
- Individual and corporate beneficial-owner chain
- Registrable-controller particulars
- Nominator details for nominee directors or shareholders
- Executive-control details where controllers cannot be identified
Customer due-diligence evidence
A corporate service provider may require more information than the Bizfile form. The purpose is to verify identity, ownership, authority, business activity and risk before accepting and filing the matter.
- Approved identity and address evidence
- Corporate ownership documents for entity shareholders
- Source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information where required
- Licensing or regulatory information for relevant activities
- Translations or certifications for overseas documents where required
Avoid sending sensitive documents too early
Use the public contact form only for ordinary contact and routing information. Do not email passports, NRICs or other identity documents until the service provider supplies an approved secure method and explains why the data is needed.
